AOCS Analytical Guidelines
International Trade Methods
Listed below are those methods most frequently used in the international trade of oils and fats. In particular, these
methods represent those of the Federation of Oil, Seeds, and Fats Association (FOSFA) International, which are used
in approximately 85% of the contracts for oils and fats that are traded on an international basis. If available, the cor-
responding AOCS Method is shown, with its current status in comparison with the FOSFA International Method.
